Gates of Olympus is Pragmatic Play's slot about Zeus, king of the gods, and it plays nothing like a slot with lines. The symbols pay wherever they land, then clear away to make room for more, and every so often Zeus sends down a multiplier to raise what the spin pays.

How a win happens
Forget lines. Eight or more of the same symbol anywhere on the screen pay, and the more of them there are, the more they pay. The symbols that paid then vanish, the ones left fall to the bottom and new ones drop in from above. That's a tumble, and there's no limit to them: they carry on for as long as each new screen makes another win, so one spin can pay several times. Everything a spin wins is added to your balance once the last tumble has fallen.
What each symbol pays
The help screen shows each prize as an amount at your current bet, so the figures change when you change your stake. The proportions don't. Taking eight or nine yellow gems as 1:
| Symbol | 8–9 | 10–11 | 12–30 |
|---|---|---|---|
| Crown | 20 | 50 | 100 |
| Hourglass | 5 | 20 | 50 |
| Ring | 4 | 10 | 30 |
| Chalice | 3 | 4 | 24 |
| Red gem | 2 | 3 | 20 |
| Purple gem | 1.6 | 2.4 | 16 |
| Yellow gem | 1 | 2 | 10 |
| Green gem | 0.8 | 1.8 | 8 |
| Blue gem | 0.5 | 1.5 | 4 |
The crown sits at the top: twelve of them pay a hundred times what eight yellow gems do. The Zeus scatter pays too, wherever it lands: 6 for four, 10 for five and 200 for six, on the same scale.
The multipliers
Zeus's lightning lands as winged orbs in green, blue, purple and red, on any reel, in the ordinary spins (the base game) and the free spins alike. Each one takes a value when it lands: 2×, 3×, 4×, 5×, 6×, 8×, 10×, 12×, 15×, 20×, 25×, 50×, 100×, 250× or 500×.
On their own they pay nothing, and unlike the other symbols they don't tumble away: they stay where they land until the spin is over. When a spin's tumbles come to an end, the values of every multiplier on the screen are added together, and the whole win of that spin is multiplied by the total. The scatter stays put too, and pays once, after the last tumble. Orbs showing 5× and 10× make 15×, so a spin that won 3 pays 45.
Free spins, and the running multiplier
The scatter is Zeus himself in a gold frame, and it counts wherever it lands. Four or more of them start 15 free spins, played on reels of their own. In the round the multipliers stop resetting. Whenever one lands on a spin that wins, its value is added to a total multiplier that never resets, and that total multiplies the win. Pragmatic Play's own example: the total stands at 7, and a spin wins 2.5 times your bet with a 3× and a 6× on the screen. That spin pays 2.5 × (7 + 3 + 6), which is 40 times your bet, and the total moves up to 16. A winning spin with no new multiplier on it pays as it is. Three or more scatters during the round add five more spins.
What you win in the free spins is paid when the round ends. If a round reaches 5,000 times your bet, it stops there and pays out, and anything still to come is lost.
